From Mick Cooper a good friend of Ian,

Sadly there are few people like Mr Ward.A true character and a lovely bloke.....many funny times together so I'll share one of them with you so hopefully it'll bring a smile on a sad day.As I've been in recovery from gambling addiction for 6 1/2 years now this story always makes me smile. Me and Mr Ward (I never called him Ian and he always called me Mr Cooper)....we had been watching the horse racing on the TV and neither of us did that well. It was raining, throwing it down and I said to Mr Ward "£10 I can pick a raindrop that gets to the bottom of the window faster than one you pick".....he was up for it and for 2 minutes you'd have thought we had thousands riding on a bet.....it was just a tenner on a raindrop....and Mr Ward beat me and won £10. We laughed our heads off - moments like that are priceless.Sometimes when it rains heavy....I remember that day and the laughs, the crackers things we got up to and our unique friendship.Sleep well Mr Ward - I did say that one day I'd stop gambling and I'm still clean of it.its.Xx Lots of love to all of Mr Wards family too....I hope my story brought a smile xxx
